Get ready to dive underground! Located in the 7th district (arrondissement), just a short walk from Place Bellecour, Le Petit Musée du Vin opens its doors this Thursday, March 19th.

Forget boring lectures; we invite you into our authentic vaulted cellars for a fun, immersive, and sensory journey through the world of French wine. Whether you are a total beginner or a wine connoisseur, the tour is designed for everyone (and available in 7 languages, including English!).

Touch, Smell, and Play!

Our 1-hour self-guided tour is packed with interactive workshops to help you understand what makes a great wine:

  • Touch the real rocks to understand the French terroir.
  • Test your nose on our “Wall of Aromas” (can you find the strawberry or the leather notes?).
  • Understand the secrets of tannins and maceration.
  • Play the winemaker with our interactive game: try to assemble your own Champagne cuvée!

The Grand Finale: Educational Tasting

Theory is good, but practice is better. Your visit concludes with a guided wine tasting (included in your ticket).

We have selected specific wines to illustrate what you’ve just learned in the museum: a fruity Morgon, a structured Moulin-à-Vent, a surprising Natural Wine, or a trendy Orange Wine.
